Abstract

Child abuse has been recognized as a universal emerging social issue. The study evaluates how corporal punishment can affect children in Pakistan, especially in Balochistan’s cultural context. The study is quantitative and quantitative and utilized the survey research design. A sample of 160 students (eight public sector schools and eight private sector schools) is carried out, and only 10 students are randomly selected from each school (5 from grade 9 and 5 from grade 10). The multistage sampling method is used to choose these institutions from District Quetta, Baluchistan.  Data is analyzed through SPSS. Internal Reliability of the quantitative section of the scale questionnaire was .917, determined by using Cronbach’s Alpha through a pilot study. This study revealed that corporal punishment has an effect on the mental health and physical health of the learners at the secondary stage. The learner's nurture is based on providing appropriate and organized assistance, good education, and a strict attitude free of physical punishment. This study recommended that the teachers, parents, and administrators of institutions should make an effort collectively to address the loopholes in mental and physical health to improve the social life of sufferers along with educational performance.
